A hydraulic cylinder shaft, also known as a piston rod, is the primary component that converts the linear motion of a hydraulic cylinder into mechanical force for lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy loads. It is a strong, precisely finished rod attached to a piston inside the cylinder barrel, which moves back and forth as hydraulic fluid pressure pushes on the piston. This shaft allows machines to perform work, and its smooth surface and high-strength material are crucial for reducing friction and wear while resisting corrosion.


How it works

Hydraulic fluid is pumped into one side of the cylinder's barrel, applying pressure to the piston.
This pressure forces the piston to move, and since the piston rod is attached to it, the rod extends or retracts.
The rod then connects to the machine component that needs to be moved, transferring the hydraulic energy into linear mechanical motion.
